IM·PRESS·UM - Process as a Design Concept

The focus of this project was not the final result, but the creative process itself. Approaching the theme of “wear and abrasion” with an open, experimental mindset, I explored negative forms created by pressure and touch.

To develop the surface texture, I pressed a thin metal sheet onto a wooden box beneath it. The internal ridges of the wooden structure imprinted delicate reliefs into the metal, resulting in an unexpectedly lively texture. This form gradually evolved into an independent tool, which in turn inspired the design of ceramic tile elements.
